Find out and go on a treasure hunt when you become a recruit for outdoor spaces. Observe and examine how elements in the environment and living things interact to make the place you live one of the most unique ecosystems in our country. Get excited about being an "Open Space" explorer as we discover how science and nature connect right where you live. Also enjoy hands on, interactive time with our specimens, artifact and crafts!
Fire Tower Special presentation from TNC- Larry Paul
11:15 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Larry will take you through the history of Fire Towers in New York State, with great visuals. He will also discuss the restoration efforts going on now to bring them back here in the Pine Barrens! Historical artifacts, such as a map table, crank telephone, and phone lines will be on display
